ARCHIE (Alliance of Registered co-operatives and Housing Associations, independent in Edinburgh) is delighted to participate in celebrating this year’s Scottish Housing Day. Collectively, we own and manage over 7,000 properties, including sheltered housing developments, retirement developments and care homes. We provide services to over 20,000 people living in the city. In the current year, we plan to invest over £14m adapting and upgrading our stock to ensure that our houses can be a home for life.
Earlier this year, ARCHIE members collaborated to secure £172k funding to provide energy advice services to our tenants. This is one of many examples of successfully joint working amongst the ARCHIE group. We will continue to look at ways in which we can collectively work together to develop services and initiatives that enhance our tenants’ lives.
Commenting on Scottish Housing Day, ARCHIE Chair Claire Ironside said:
“We are delighted to participate in Scottish Housing Day and celebrate our part in creating homes and communities where people want to live and enjoy life.”
